Bilbao
Bilbao is the largest city in the Basque Country and the capital of the province of Biscay, Spain. The city has 353,168 inhabitants (2007) and is the most financially and industrially active part of Greater Bilbao. A major seaport and industrial centre, the city is located on the Estuary of Bilbao, the city's suburbs extending to the Bay of Biscay. Situated in the Territory of Bizkaia, the city is surrounded by fertile landscapes, with forests, mountains, beaches, and steep coasts. The Guggenheim Museum; the Euskalduna Concert Hall and Convention Centre are all examples of the overwhelming vitality that permeates Bilbao.
